Hi, Im Eva
I am committed to helping you connect with the person you are meant to be.
Together, we will work to heal the wounds that hinder you from fully embracing your true self.
Life can be messy, unpredictable, and, at times, overwhelming.
It’s not always easy to navigate through the weight of trauma, anxiety, or depression, or to recognize that part of you yearning for growth while feeling unsure of how to nurture it.
But that very awareness—the sense that there’s something more, something worth exploring—is powerful. It means that a part of you is ready for change, even if the path feels unclear. Your inner healing wisdom has brought you here, and I am so glad to meet you.
Let’s embrace the messiness together and create space for new possibilities.
My name is Eva Goldfinger, MSW, LMSW-cc
I am passionate about helping individuals reconnect with their strengths and discover new pathways to healing. I view therapy as a collaborative and creative journey, shaped by your unique needs, experiences, and aspirations.
I am committed to tenderly holding space for you during your most challenging moments, offering compassion and a steady presence as you work through the burdens that weigh you down. Just as importantly, I am here to celebrate your moments of joy and growth—those times when you feel lighter, more like yourself, and when breakthroughs seem worth every effort.
With my background as a 200-hour yoga teacher and experience in outdoor education, I integrate mindfulness, somatic practices, and a deep appreciation for nature into our work together. I believe that connecting with the natural world can be a profound source of healing and insight, and I’m always open to exploring how these elements might enrich our work together.
Why Choose to Work with Me?
Who You Are
You might be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or seeking clarity or wholeness. Perhaps you’ve already undertaken significant healing and are now seeking a different kind of relationship or a fresh perspective. I want to honor the work you’ve accomplished that has brought you to this point, and we will use that as a foundation for our work together.
Who I Am
I wholeheartedly believe in your innate capacity for healing. I strive to show up as a real, imperfect human alongside you. My approach is eclectic and relationship-based. Learning about various healing modalities is one of my passions, and I continuously seek to expand my therapeutic toolbox for my clients. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is the rich teachings from clients as they find their paths to change and growth.
I also offer…
Imagine a valley where fresh snowfall blankets the landscape, covering well-trodden paths and revealing new routes. Psychedelic experiences can have a similar effect, temporarily lifting us out of ingrained patterns and inviting fresh perspectives and possibilities. This “new snow” can uncover routes toward greater openness, flexibility, and creativity. It may also present unexpected obstacles.
Psychedelic integration is the process of making sense of these new pathways, helping you carry forward the insights gained in a thoughtful and grounded way.
While I do not facilitate the use of psychedelics at this time, I would be honored to support your integration journey.
My Story
I’ve always been drawn to the transformative power of vulnerability and authentic human connection, ultimately leading me to become a therapist. As a sensitive child and even more so as a teenager, I found myself captivated by the psychology classes offered at my high school. They fueled my desire to understand the complex and sometimes conflicting emotions, thoughts, and behaviors—both my own and those of others.
During this time, I began experiencing symptoms of anxiety, which led me to seek out talk therapy. My relationship with my therapist became a sanctuary—a space of trust, safety, and compassion where I could process my emotions and gain insight into myself. I felt truly seen. Therapy offered me the opportunity to explore my most painful experiences with curiosity, which led to a life-changing shift as I found both awareness and acceptance of my anxiety. I remember feeling a little lighter after each session.
As I moved forward into higher education, I realized I wanted to offer that same space to others—a place where people could explore the darkest and most beautiful parts of themselves, and maybe even learn to embrace these parts with love. This inspiration, combined with my passion for social change and empowerment, guided me toward a career in clinical social work.
My journey has brought me to work with diverse communities, including individuals experiencing homelessness, those in early recovery from substance use disorders, survivors of intimate partner violence, families affected by cancer, and those grieving the loss of a loved one. Most recently, my role in community mental health has shown me the profound impact of trauma on many lives. I aspire to create a space where people can find not just relief, but also a sense of belonging, the freedom to be fully themselves, and the tools to create lasting change.
About Me
I’ve called Maine home for five years now and am incredibly grateful to be here. When not learning about new modalities or practicing therapy, I enjoy creative cooking projects, engaging with my local pottery and yoga communities, and sharing cozy cups of tea with friends.
Nature is where I feel most connected to my authentic self—vulnerable, strong, raw, learning, and present. Recently, I have been focusing on the art of slowing down and embracing rest as a form of self-care and resistance against the pressures of capitalism.
I see myself as a human before a therapist, and this perspective shapes my approach to our work together. I value authenticity and recognize that true healing often occurs when we can show up as we are—imperfections and all.
